The Gamboas and Meadow Valley

Last weekend we were blessed to work along side our dear friends the Gamboa family. The Gamboas washed windows and installed window coverings. They sorted through mounds of baby clothes, built cribs and sanded drywall. They also framed two half walls, painted some doors and cleaned up around the perimeter of the home. Though their work ethic is something to be admired, their greatest gift to us on this trip was the gift of encouragement.

A group of several families from Meadow Valley Community Church spent their week serving the kids at the children’s home as well as working on projects at the baby home. They finished painting the back apartment, installed closet organizers in the apartment and intern rooms, finished the drywall on the half walls in the infant area, put together some cabinetry for the laundry room and got a big start to framing in the two tubs in the bathing room. A group of youth spent several days digging footings and bending rebar in preparation for the wall along the side of the home. It was a true joy to work with these families.

GIVE - Do you have any baby items sitting in your garage that you don’t need anymore? Send us an email and we will make arrangements to get your donated baby items down to GBH.
